Winning entries for the My Story Competition

Deadline: March 31, 2010

When we asked our readers to send us a true story from their lives, we had no idea what a torrent of response we would get. The rules were simple: focus on a key event or a special moment in your life and describe it in 750 words or less. Reading through the hundreds of entries which sometimes had us in stitches as well as in tears, we were astounded by the quality of the writing.

Below you can read the first, second and third prize winning entries.

The deadline for entries has passed.
