It doesn't have to cost much
Remember you don’t need to spend a fortune on books these days. Your local library might have what you are looking for or will search for it if they don’t. Charity shops have good selections of fact and fiction titles at knock-down prices. Swapping books with friends and relatives is also a good idea, or do the same online for free (except for postal charges). You can download and print books for free from the internet as well or you could listen to book serialisations or adaptations on the radio.
