World in Dust, by Kurt Offenburg, is a memoir written by my grandfather. He died when I was three but finding this book, which admittedly is rather dry, still gave me some insight into his life and encouraged me to continue with my family history research. It is a treasured copy, as by amazing chance it had belonged to Grandfather's second wife. It was passed on to me, together with various other papers, so though we never knew each other there is still that family connection.
