I don't consider this the best fiction book I've read but it was a thrilling, gripping, can't-put-it-down read. The plot was tosh but very enjoyable tosh. The lovely thing about this book when it first came out was that so many people had read it, you could have a discussion about the book with anyone, any time, any place, anywhere.
