I would like to add two books on life writing that I have found particularly inspiring: Sarah Haslam and Derek Neale, Life Writing, Open University/Routledge, 2009 and the Arvon Foundation's splendid new book: The Arvon Book of Life Writing: writing biography, autobiography and memoir.
